Atomic Avenue Rockets Past eBay Auctions!
Introducing the New ComicBase FREE
Free Wallpaper, Banners, and More at the ComicBase Community Page

Just two months after its launch, our new community-driven online buying and selling site, Atomic Avenue, cracked the 250,000 comics-for-sale mark, with thousands more added every week. What this means is that Atomic Avenue now has more than twice as many comics for sale as all of eBay’s comic auctions…combined!
No matter whether you're looking for a good deal on a Walking Dead #4 or a Silver Surfer #1, you'll be able to find it in seconds on Atomic Avenue. For ComicBase users, just look up the comic you're interested in ComicBase, right-click on it, and choose the new “Buy” command found in ComicBase 10.1 or 11.1. You'll see who's got one for sale, and get your choice of sellers, prices, and conditions. You can also research titles, look at pictures online, and more:
Once you’ve found the comic you want, just click the Buy button to add it to your cart. When you're done shopping, check out, and the seller(s) will be automatically notified to ship your comics. In a few days, you'll have the comics in your hands--all with no drama or auction hassles. (In short, it's a lot like buying a used book from Amazon.com).

If you’re interested in posting your own comics for sale on Atomic Avenue, it couldn’t be easier! All you need is a PayPal account and a copy of ComicBase. (If you don’t have ComicBase yet, now’s a great time to check it out—or even give our new ComicBase FREE a try). Just mark the comics you want to sell as being “For Sale” in your copy of ComicBase, then use the Internet -> Sell command to post everything you’ve marked at once.Your listings will stay on the system until they’re sold, or you withdraw them, and each of your comics goes up at the selling price you’ve already set in ComicBase. When a customer browsing the system for comics buys something from you, you’ll get automatically notified by email to ship the comic out. Two weeks after the item ships, your payment (less a small commission) is automatically deposited in your PayPal account. Just check your emails, ship out your orders, and get paid!
To check out Atomic Avenue, just head on over to www.atomicavenue.com And if you like what you see, help spread the word!

Q: How do I add my own pictures to a title?
A: Basically, it’s just a matter of making sure your picture is named properly, then dragging it onto the title in question. For instance, let’s say you wanted to add a picture for Captain America (1st Series) #104. All you’d have to do is save your picture as a JPEG (.jpg) file, called 104. Then, go to Captain America (1st Series) in ComicBase, and drag your picture onto the list of issues. The picture will be automatically copied to the right folder location, and a small picture icon will appear next to that issue. Holding your mouse over the picture icon will cause the picture to appear in its full glory.
Q: What do I need to run ComicBase under Windows Vista?
A: You need ComicBase 11, and should download the latest update (11.1) prior to doing any data entry. ComicBase runs on all versions of Vista, but you do need to leave Vista’s User Account Controls turned on, or you’ll likely run into problems with not having sufficient permissions to access system files that ComicBase uses. (If you have the Business or Ultimate editions of Vista, you can turn UAC off safely using this tip).
