What are the major features of ComicBase Express?

ComicBase Express is the ideal program for the budget-conscious collector. It comes with a massive, built-in database for over 275,000 comics, all with current pricing from the Comics Buyer’s Guide. It also sports over 5,000 cover images; a year of free, downloadable price updates; and the sleek, easy-to-use interface that ComicBase is famous for. Unlike its Pro* and Archive counterparts, ComicBase Express is compact enough to download, but still offers everything a collector needs to manage a serious collection.

What features are in the current version of ComicBase which aren’t in the Express?

Although the Express is capable program in its own right, there are a few features such as price history, writer and artist credits, as well as an extensive library of cover scans that are only available in the Pro or Archive edition. Check out our handy ComicBase Comparison Chart (.pdf) for a full list of the different features in each version.

Is ComicBase Express the next year’s version of ComicBase/ComicBase 11?

No. Although ComicBase Express includes many of the new features we expect to see in the next version of the ComicBase Pro and Archive Edition, the next version of ComicBase will not appear until later this year.

Is there any difference between the CD version and the download version?

Both versions are the same. With the CD version of ComicBase Express, you’re getting the exact same program as the download version and at the same price ($49.95).

Can I buy the Express and upgrade to the Pro/Archive version later?

Absolutely. The upgrade price from an Express to ComicBase Professional is $99.95 and the upgrade price from Express to the ComicBase Archive Edition is $249.95.

Does ComicBase Express support barcode scanners?

Yes! ComicBase Express comes with tens of thousands of built-in barcodes, with hundreds more added every week, free for download with your purchase of ComicBase Express! You can pick up a ComicBase supported barcode scanner at our web store, or visit the Barcode Support Page for additional information.
