Atomic Avenue: The First Week

Whew! Thanks to everyone who came out and saw us at WonderCon, and a big “Welcome!” to everyone who’s signed up or started browsing on Atomic Avenue, our new comic buying and selling service.

Just a week after launch, we recently crossed the $1,000,000.00 mark for the total value of comics posted for sale on the system. What’s more, we just passed an even more important milestone: there are now more comics available for sale on Atomic Avenue than in all of eBay’s auctions combined!

All in all, not bad a bad first week ;-)

If you haven’t done so yet, you owe it to yourself to check out the new system. It’s a great way to find comics at terrific prices, and without any of the usual hassles that seem to accompany buying comics online. And of course, if you’re a ComicBase 10 or later user, it’s a wonderful way to turn some of your excess comics into cash. Just download ComicBase 10.1 or 11.1, use the new “Sell” command, and you can post thousands (or even tens of thousands) of comics for sale, at the prices you’ve specified, in seconds.

Finally, I’ve just started a run of Atomic Avenue tech tips in our ComicBase “Tip of the Day” section. If you have questions you’d like to see me answer, please send them to me care of this column and I’ll try to either answer you directly, or work it into a future column.
