DC pays tribute to one of comicdom’s greatest rivalries in a trade paperback featuring work by noteworthy creaters from Jerry Siegel to John Byrne. And hardcore fans won’t want to miss the newest Wolverine “origins” story now in stores!

Superman vs. Lex Luthor

Superman versus Lex Luthor is not only one of comic’s best rivalries, it’s one of the oldest. This collection of some of their more momentous encounters, then, has no shortage of material to draw from, including Luthor’s very first appearance way back in 1940.

Luthor has changed quite a bit over the years, moreso even than Superman himself. From mere criminal to intergalactic villain to respected businessman to President of the United States, each of the major stages in Luthor’s rivalry with Superman is revisited here.

These 12 reprinted stories include work by Jerry Siegel, Joe Shuster, John Byrne, Dan Jurgens, and many more.

Wolverine: Origins

The typical Wolverine “origin” story tends to introduce even more questions and mysteries than it clears up, which is why they could keep running origin adventures for Marvel’s most popular mutant until the end of time. In this series, Wolverine has discovered some new things about his buried past, but he doesn’t know who’s responsible for those mysteries, or why. The answers he does have lead him to the White House, and an altercation with S.H.I.E.L.D., but it doesn’t end there. Next he’ll have to face someone who by all rights should be dead….

This series by Daniel Way and Steve Dillon is appropriately intrigue-laden and action-packed, focusing on what Wolverine does best.
