Beginner’s Guide to Furry Art

Genre: Pin-ups/Artbook

When Steve Corbett started out as an artist, he couldn’t draw a whit. He gradually taught himself the craft, but along the way came to the conclusion that a lot of the instructional books he read and art teachers he encountered weren’t much help. This comic is his attempt to change all that, giving beginning artists the building blocks to draw the human body, from head to toe. And since he’s always been a fan of “furry” art – featuring characters that walk on two legs but possess the physical features of animals – that’s the angle he explores here. So you’ll not only learn how to draw heads, bodies, and limbs, but also big, furry tails.

Corbett’s background makes this an ideal art book for beginners, even if they don’t choose to decorate their characters’ heads and bodies with fox ears and tails. It’s a simple but useful book for the fledgling artist.
