The Ultimate Spider-Man 100 Project

The Ultimate Spider-Man 100 Project

Genre: Super-Heroes, Pin-Up/Art Books

How do you celebrate a milestone comic while also raising money for The Hero Initiative, a not-for-profit organization that helps comic creators in need? One way is to have 100 different artists draw variant covers for the 100th issue of Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley’s Ultimate Spider-Man 100. The original art for those covers was then auctioned off, but this collection reproduces all of them in their unique and striking glory.

What could be better than seeing 100 different takes on Marvel Comics’ most iconic character? Everybody will have a different favorite, be it Dan Brereton’s drooling version of Venom, Joseph Michael Linsner’s seductive Mary Jane, or a broad selection of Spider-Man renditions, by creators as diverse as Guillermo Del Toro, Matt Wagner, Frank Quitely, and many more. A lovely collection.
