Feeble Attempts collects a hodge-podge set of short comics by Jeffery Brown.
Much of what appears here has been previously published in magazines such as Blood Orange, McSweeney’s, and the Chicago Reader, and Brown has finally collected these works together in one volume. Brown’s loose black and white style matches his off-beat sense of humor and observation, and even the most mundane little tale comes to life. This collection is filled with Brown’s indelible self-deprecating humor and a few autobiographical stories, as well as what appears to be a few pages from his sketchbook when he was a child.

Jennifer grew up in an almost-rural part of California and is currently living in the metropolis of Portland. She knows how to fish without bait, find magnetic north, shoot a bow and arrow, and slaughter small animals, but very rarely does any of it.

Jennifer’s favorite comics include PS 238, She-Hulk, Usagi Yojimbo, Fables, and Impulse.
