Roy Thomas writes the script for this adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's masterpiece, and Mario Gully illustrates it. When an old, drunk sea captain, Billy Bones, arrives at the quiet inn run by the Hawkins family, their life is disrupted by his temper tantrums and unreasonable demands. But his money is good, and he soon has even gained the services of young Jim Hawkins as a look-out for a mysterious one-legged sailor.

Months pass, and just when everyone has become used to Billy, two sailors arrive and deliver a summons for the captain. The shock kills Captain Bones, and soon a mob of dangerous pirates is bearing down on the inn, leaving Jim Hawkins as the only person alive who knows a potentially deadly secret.

Jennifer grew up in an almost-rural part of California and is currently living in the metropolis of Portland. She knows how to fish without bait, find magnetic north, shoot a bow and arrow, and slaughter small animals, but very rarely does any of it.

Jennifer’s favorite comics include PS 238, She-Hulk, Usagi Yojimbo, Fables, and Impulse.
