ComicBase 11 Now Features Vista Compatibility

Program update boasts full Windows Vista support.

(Santa Clara, CA) In conjunction with today’s Windows Vista launch, Human Computing announced full Vista support for its industry-leading ComicBase 11 software for managing comic collections. An update to the latest version of ComicBase, now available at the ComicBase web site ( adds full support for the new operating system, including Vista’s new Aero Glass interface as well as smoother animation effects and other Vista-friendly interface refinements.

The update will be available to all ComicBase customers through the program’s automatic download service in the next few weeks. Users who have already installed Windows Vista, however, are free to immediately download either the ComicBase 11 Pro, Archive, or Express from the ComicBase Support site.

Due to extensive changes in the Windows Vista system, older versions of ComicBase prior to the current ComicBase 11 do not install or run properly on the Vista OS. However, registered users of older ComicBase versions can move up to ComicBase 11 at special upgrade pricing by entering their current serial number at the ComicBase online store. In addition to Windows Vista compatibility, upgrading to ComicBase 11 offers significant new features as well as a full year of free, downloadable price and issue updates. Customers can find further details on the ComicBase web site, or by calling Human Computing at 408/266-6883.

ComicBase will still continue to support Windows XP (as well as Windows 2000) for the foreseeable future.
