Slop: Analecta, is a mixed-bag collection of work from Dave Crosland and Debbie St. Sinclair. Not recommended for the faint of heart, but the adventurous reader might give this idiosyncratic read a try.
Collecting various strips from the partnership of Dave Crosland and Debbie St. Sinclair, Slop: Analecta is a pretty mixed bag, which is a good thing as long as the quality stays consistent throughout. (It does.)
The authors never explain who’s doing what share of the writing and drawing, nor do they expound on the work itself beyond a few footnotes, which seems like a missed opportunity to stitch together the collection into something more than just a completist’s volume.
The art itself is pretty idiosyncratic, a lavalamp of ideas.
